Days 16-18

Short blog just to catch up...
Tuesday
Gym in the morning with Nikki. She was so not into it. I got some cardio and some strength training in. Took Jack to appt., cleaned out Envoy and went to the library with Jack. Contact Lens training at 4. I did well. Pilates at 5:30 with Cindy.
Wednesday
Regular day at work. RIPPED at the gym.
Thursday
Another regular day at work. Had an appt. so didn't make it to the gym.
Going to go in the morning then drive to C-Town to meet with Liz and Flora.
Will try to post this weekend. I owe myself one more workout after tomorrow mornings so hopefully I can do it at Cindy's.

Day 15 Half way through

Monday February 22
Pretty reasonable day at work today. I work at North Kern State Prison in the Central Records Dept. Somedays can just draaaaaagggggggg. Today not so much. Kept pretty busy. Went to the gym afterwards for some Interval Extreme. I'm sure I'll be feeling my thighs tomorrow. Thanks Julie! Not to mention my neck and shoulders. Yay! No pain no gain. Lasagna for dinner. Pretty yummy. Well tomorrow I'm taking Jack to the doctor to see if he has allergies or much more. He's been sick for about 2 weeks off and on now. I <3 my kids.

Days 13-14 Weekend with Temptations

Saturday February 20th
Went to they gym in the morning and did pull ups. Came home and did a bunch of little chores around the house. Helped Josh take down Christmas lights, pulled weeds and took out a bush that was totally infected with somthing. Doug called and invited us over for dinner and a movie at Nana's. I love going over there and spending time with them. Don't feel like I get the opportunity enough. Janet is an awesome cook. She made Tri Tip and Scalloped Potatoes. HMMM...Corn and Broccoli. Kids were in love with the potatoes. Rylan even ate Nan's. We watched Couples Retreat. Movie was funny. I was offered cranberry and vodka or beer but I did not partake. I'm good. Came home and read some more of my book.
Sunday February 21st
I made breakfast this morning and let the kids ride their jeep during the day. Washed Clothes, cleaned the kitchen, and relaxed. Listened to the rain. Got a text from Nikki about the Jack in the Box. I usually have a weakness for that place too. Well gym in the morning. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Next weekend is going to be hard for me. Going to Hayward with the girls to visit with everyone. Should be fun and costly.

Days 11-12

Thursday, I had to go get my new glasses with a stronger prescription. Things were looking 3D for a minute but I think I've adjusted. Made dinner for the kids. I meant to ask Nikki if a Double Cheeseburger that Mas bought me without really knowing what I'm doing counts but you know what I'm going to be honest and count it. Ughhh so thats another $1.50 to the bucket. I've been a bad bad girl. Didn't go to the gym yesterday because of my errand running. Friday, which is today, I was suppose to go with Nikki to the gym but I waited for her text and it didn't come till later so I just hit the snooze button. I know I know I suck. Today was a half day at work because of the funeral I had planned on to attending. It was honestly something out of body. Very sad but the church was beautiful. We were 10 mins late because of the directions we got from Lisa but I don't think that it was such a bad thing. The girls wanted to go to lunch afterwards so we went to a mexican restaurant. Chips, Guacamole and Cerviche for FREE. OMG! Cindy bought my lunch cause she's an awesome friend but I still feel like I was cheating so I owe Nikki $11.00 for that. Campechana. YUM YUM. Abolone, Octopus, Shrimp, Avocado, and Clamato. mmmm. I was bad. Then I went to cycling. I burped onions and clamato the whole time. Poor Nikki! It takes a special kind of friend to sweat her booty off next to you while your burping up seafood. LOL. So thats by day. I plan on laying low this weekend. Gym in the morning which makes my quota for the gym. Till tomorrow.

Day 10- Double Digits

Yea I've made it to double digits. I've already gone to the gym 4 times this week if you count the two hours I did today and Hell yeah I'm counting them as 2 times. I worked it. RIPPED was a good class but I'm still unsure about the instructor. I think Amanda totally knows what she's doing but the other gal is going to be lost when she leaves. I think the class will blow big balls when she starts teaching it on her own but you never know she might surprise me. After RIPPED, I took Extreme Training with Jules and that was a good class. I was wiped out by the end. CYCLE FASTER she screamed. Yeah well I tried, it looked pretty pathetic though. No eating out today even though Gabby got Subway today. I just ate my lentils and brown rice like a good girl. Josh made Sloppy Joes for dinner with ground turkey. I had one with my sandwich thins bread and of course some cheese. No alcoholic beverages either. I'm really good when it comes to the weekdays about not even thinking about having a beer. Its when Friday hits that I have some thoughts about Mr. Hefeweizen and his buddy Lemon Slice. OH well. Thanks for all you support. Its really kind. By the way...One of the ladies at works 30 year old daughter passed away suddenly and we're all going to the funeral on Friday. I can't even imagine the pain she is going through right now. Her daughter, her only daughter, left behind 5 children. God has a plan even though sometimes it seems so unfair. It only emphasizes the thought that LIFE IS TOO SHORT! Do what you can today!

Days 8-9

Today was a normal day. I love normal days. I went to the gym yesterday and did interval extreme. It was a long travel day so I was really wiped out. Today I brought some steak and potatoes to work and had oatmeal for breakfast. Dinner was Hamburger Helper...most of the time its a kid pleaser but tonight Ry was really wiped out from the weekend so he slept through dinner. Sometimes I wish I could do that. So far I'm right on track. Went to the gym tonight too. I asked Cindy to come with me and try Pilates. The class was awesome. Jules is an awesome instructor. Since it was our first class she took the time to teach us the breathing techniques and moves. Not as easy as you think. I'm sure some of the regulars weren't too happy about the extra effort she was dishing out to us but they got over it fast. She's too nice to be mad at for long. Bucket tally $4.00. See ya manana:)

Days 5-7

Went to Big Bear for the weekend. I actually surprised myself by not eating out. The family stopped at Del Taco on the way to Big Bear but I didn't have anything. Josh bought a 12 pack of Keystone and I didn't have one. Thanks for the support, babe. It was really hard not to have one but once I got to thinking about that $5 bucks that I would have to put in the pot I had coffee instead. Saturday we went on a little hike. We made a snowman and snow forts. Madison hit a tree sledding so James took her and Ry home. When they left, Josh, Sarah and I all had a massive snow fight. I wasn't really going for Sarah. I pegged Josh a couple of times. I think it lasted about a half an hour. So much fun. I sled down the hill with Jack about 10 times. Which also means I had to climb back up. What a workout! I was stinking and I just took a shower. It was so beautiful over there. We got home and had ribs and chicken. Amy is an awesome cook. Sunday, Josh and I watched a lot of Olympics and Zombieland with Amy and James. We also took a 45 minute walk around the neighborhood. I love Big Bear. I think it would be very smart to buy a cabin there. So now we're home. Of course Josh had to stop at Jack in the Box cause he was starving! LOL. I didn't have any though. I stopped at the gas station while we were getting gas and got some sunflower seeds. They're really not that bad for you. The sodium is what kills you. So far I owe the pot $4 for my delicious half of sandwich from the farm show. Really I'm not all that excited about Nikki oweing me money. This week will be better I promise. We're going to see results not just in our wallets but in our pants. LMAO. Till tonight. Going to the gym at 5:30. Lets see if they're going to have classes seeing how today is a holiday.

Well I wasn't able to post last night. I did well though. I didn't go to the gym but I did play wii fit with Ry. I didn't eat out even though I wanted some ColdStone last night. I made a yogurt smoothie instead. Sorry so short...packing for Big Bear.

Day 3

Today I went to the farm show and I'm happy to report that I didn't have any alcoholic beverages but I did share a steak sandwich with stef with some beans. So I owe the pot $4. I tried to take a cycling class this morning at the gym but the instructor was horrible so I cycled for 1/2 an hour and walked for 15 mins. She was very negative and nagging. Not a good way to be at 5 in the morning. I have been out of the house most of the day so I'm going to spend the evening with the boys. More tomorrow.

Day Two

Day two. Stuck by my guns. Played wii fit this morning and went to the gym in the evening. Got my butt kicked by Amanda. That girl is crazy. She came in sweating from a class she had just finished teaching and totally made me sweat balls. Ate well today. I didn't purchase any food at a restaurant. Now I was talking to Nikki and we decided that we would have to pay each other, just to make it a little more motivating. So at the end of this venture my bucket is her bucket and I get her's. The sad thing is I don't really want her bucket to have any money in it at all. I want her to succeed just as much as I want to myself. Its a Tuesday so I didn't have any issues with the booze. Its the weekends and nights with friends thats going to make not drinking a beer mighty tough. Tomorrow is the Farm Show and I'm going with Nikki. I really really really want a fried twinkie. Zombieland ring a bell? I'm going to have to make myself be good. I plan on making a mighty fine turkey sandwich tonight and I have a Luna bar to hold me through. Bottled water will have to be my friend. Farm Show and no beer garden for me. Oh well. This is for me:)
A friend once told me she hated the way that I write. I'm really trying to work on that. Sometimes my thoughts race and I can't get everything down that I have in my brain. Two kids and a Josh really makes me work extra hard to concentrate and staying up till 10 is not an option.

First Day

Okay so I thought it would be a good idea to blog about my 30 days of cleaner living, basically just to be accountable. . We're planning on going on a small vacation in October and any money made from this little venture goes towards that trip to Mexico. So three goals that I have are
1. No alcohol for 30 days. Penalty $5.00 each beverage. YIKES:)
2. No eating out. Pretty much any food eaten must be from a grocery store. If I do go out to eat I have to pay the bucket.
3. 6 days a week at the gym. Going in the a.m. and p.m. count as 2 trips. If I don't make it 6 times its $5 to the bucked each trip missed. So I better make my gym membership work its magic.


So now that I've got that down, let me just say that a couple of people inspired me to do this, the White sisters. Of course they were donating there money to good causes. I guess you could say mine is a selfish cause seeing how October isn't that far away. I'm not sure what else I should write. I'm going to make a commitment to myself to post a blog every night of my days events. How boring, right? :)
